The Midwest Cactus and Succulent Society’s Annual Show is held at the Cleveland Botanical Garden in April, showcasing exotic plants from around the world. The club, which started as an educational event, sees the event as more than a fundraiser. The heart of the show is the exhibit hall, featuring tables of member-grown plants and a competition for Best in Show. At least 80 percent of items for sale must be cacti, succulents or supplies tailored to growing them. The vendor area is curated by the club to ensure vendors align with the club's educational mission and ensure authentic purchases are authentic. Tickets can be purchased for small plants or larger or newly introduced varieties, which may reach up to seventy dollars or more.
