BYD recruits James Bond to launch its new long-range, 5-min charging luxury EV

Chinese automaker, BYD, has enlisted James Bond actor Daniel Craig, AKA James Bond, to promote its new high-end electric sports car, the Denza Z9 GT, which is designed to be the "world’s longest-range pure EV" and supports ultra-fast charging in just five minutes. The car will be launched in Europe on April 8, 2026 with its new Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging tech. The high-performance luxury shooting brake is equipped with three electric motors and can go from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than 3 seconds. The new vehicle is powered by BYD's new 122 kWh Blade Battery and offers 800 km (497 miles) of WLTP driving range (RWD version).
