Eni to take stake in Canada's Nouveau Monde Graphite in $70 million investment

Italian energy company, Eni, has announced a $70 million investment in Canadian company Nouveau Monde Graphite. The investment will allow Eni to enter the critical minerals value chain, as part of a $297 million capital increase and a public equity raise. Following the transaction, Renowned Eni is expected to hold approximately 11.5% of the company's share capital and will have a seat on the board. The capital increase is dependent on the successful development of the Matawinie Mine and operations across the supply chain.
