A young male deer became trapped in a swimming pool in Grand Junction, Colorado, when wildlife officers used a tranquilizer to immobilise the animal and hold its head above water to prevent it from drowning. Once the animal was safely removed, they fitted it with ear tags and administered a reversal drug to help it wake up. The deer was able to leave the scene alone after several minutes.
