‘Deeply personal’: NC State head basketball coach Will Wade returning to LSU after one season

North Carolina State University head basketball coach, Will Wade, is returning to Louisiana State University after only one season. Wade was hired in 2025 and replaced Kevin Keatts, who had been with the Wolfpack for eight seasons. He led LSU for five seasons from 2017-22 and won the Southeastern Conference regular season championship in 2019. The decision to return to the university was described as "deeply personal" by Wade. He was fired in 2022 after FBI and NCAA investigations into alleged recruiting violations.
