China has increased its military spending to fund its military modernization and develop advanced weapons and technology. The country's total defence budget is set at 1.94 trillion yuan ($282 billion), up 6.9% from the previous year. The increased spending will be used for military modernization, enhancing joint combat systems and training. The military will also promote the reform of military budget management and full-scale evaluation of its spending.
