Obama says Higher Ground production company to go independent

Former President Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama's production company, Higher Ground, will go independent after launching with Netflix for eight years. Speaking at an event in Philadelphia honoring America's 250th anniversary, former president indicated that Higher Ground was in a partnership with Netflix. He also mentioned the transition to a more independent company where they could work with different studios. The company's 24 projects have been greenlit, including features like "Worth" and "Our Great National Parks".
