A 67-year-old woman from Tasmania was found dead near Moreton Island off the coast of Queensland on April 17. Despite attempts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was a guest on the Carnival Splendor, which departed from Sydney on April 15 for a four-day round-trip cruise. Police are still investigating the death.
