The real threat is not Iran – but Trump: Vince Kaster
Published on March 27, 2026.
Vince Kaster, a Special Forces officer who served in the U.S. Army from 2000 to 2021, argues that while Iran was not an imminent threat before President Donald Trump attacked, he is the real threat to America. He argues that as bad as Iran is, it cannot turn the might of America against Americans, but Trump can, and he is. Kaster criticizes the President for using his power to manipulate political violence, including his use of his pardon power to pardon political protesters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. He also criticizes his decision to abandon longstanding allies in Ukraine and for allowing China and Russia to focus their intelligence-collection efforts against America’s forces while pummeling Venezuela and Iran, he adds that while America knows how to conduct shadow wars against countries like Iran and Venezuela, Trump has exposed our military capabilities to our real adversaries. The war against Iran is deception as it takes attention from the regime. Furthermore, Kaster argues that the Iran war is driving up U.K. gas prices and is helping Russia finance its war in Ukraine, contributing to the loss of sanctions.
