The Curiosity Rover has discovered evidence on Mars that suggests that underground water once existed in a region later than previously thought, according to New York University's Dimitra Atri. The team spent six months researching formations that appeared like spiderwebs in preparation for the discovery. The findings suggest that even after the planet went from wet to dry, small amounts of water continued to move underground.
