The Houston Texans have made significant improvements in their depth chart two weeks into the free agency period. However, this is too early for a projection of the 53-man roster, with the draft starting a month from today. The author leaves several slots on the roster for unnamed "drafted rookies". There are notable cuts (or possible trades) to the team, including Blake Fisher at tackle and Jarret Patterson at guard/center. The one position where I feel most strongly that the Texans will add a veteran free agent is at wide receiver, with six-year-old Nico Collins being the elder statesman. The first ever position-less player on a 53 man projection is safety Jalen Pitre.
