Afghanistan's weather authorities have warned of more harsh weather conditions following the death of 148 people over the past two weeks. The country's heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding and caused buildings to collapse. A 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit the Hindu Kush region last week, adding to the death toll. Since March 26, 1,149 houses have been destroyed and roads and crops have also been damaged. The United Nations lists Afghanistan and Pakistan as the most vulnerable to extreme weather and climate change.
