SAG-AFTRA has voluntarily recognized a union for its communications and marketing staffers, following a card count that indicated a majority of support for organizing. The union is aligned with the National Organization of Legal Services Workers, United Auto Workers Local 2320 (NOLSW), which already represents SAG-AFtRA's organizing staff. The workers, who joined the union, aim to improve wages and establish guardrails around the use of generative A.I. within the union. Both sides will begin the process of bargaining a first union contract.
