'One of a kind' festival supports new filmmakers

Freddie Penrose, a 21-year-old filmmaker from Braintree, Essex, has established Panther Fest to showcase work by "young and emerging filmmakers". The event will be held at Halstead's Empire Theatre, where entrants will not have to pay anything to enter their films. Penrose also runs a scheme to lend out filmmaking equipment to graduates. The event is being funded through partnerships and "goodwill".
