A balance patch for Arc Raiders Riven Tides has caused controversy among players over the reduction in weapon durability and the anti-Arc photoelectric cloak. The game's developers, Embark Studios, have reduced weapon durability, making guns break more per shot and common weapons burn 75% more. Weapons dropped by defeated players now lose less durability, a reduction of 15% instead of the previous 30%. The photo electric cloak gadget, which makes Arc ignore you, now burns more energy per second, its duration is a quarter of what it has been since launch. The developer extended two olive branches, including upgrading weapons by 25% of their max durability and reducing weapon attrition. However, some players argue that the changes are unnecessary.
