Jacksonville area hit with March freeze, but warmer weekend ahead

The Jacksonville area has been hit by a cold snap, with temperatures expected to reach around 62 degrees. The Weather Authority has issued a freeze warning and frost advisory in place until 9 a.m. However, by Friday, temperatures are expected to rise to the 70s and potentially reach the 80s. Despite recent rain, Exact Track 4D indicates that the drought is still in place and fire risk is increasing. The National Weather Service recommends watering your lawn no more than once a week.
