This comes after months of tension between Trump and Massie, who has broken with him on multiple issues including opposing President's One Big Beautiful Bill and advocating for the release of documents related to the investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In January, Trump labelled Massie as "the Worst 'Republican' Congressman we have had in many years" and "a Weak and Pathetic RINO". He has endorsed Massie’s opponent, Ed Gallrein, whom he has described as a true Patriot.
