The bill also requires schools to provide relevant state and local suicide prevention contacts for students, and for schools that do not issue physical ID cards, this information will be clearly published on school websites and student portals. The act comes at a crucial time for student mental health, with data revealing that 37% of high school students describe their mental health as "poor".
