Heritage-Catoosa girls claim first state title in OT after fourth-quarter rally

Heritage-Catoosa girls have won their first state title, beating third-ranked Sandy Creek 65-63 in the GHSA Class 3A girls basketball championship game. The team overcame a six-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win. This victory marks the first time they have played in the state finals. The win makes them the first team from the county to win a state championship.
