Longtime Yankee Tommy Kahnle signs minor league contract with Red Sox

Veteran reliever Tommy Kahnle has agreed to a minor league deal with the Boston Red Sox. This move comes after Boston signed lefty reliever Danny Columbe to a big league deal. Kahnle, who last pitched for the Tigers, is expected to bolster the Red Sox's already-depleted bullpen. Most of Kahnle's innings came from his six seasons with the Yankees. His best season in New York was in 2024, when he recorded a career-best 2.11 ERA over 42 2/3 innings.
