Colin Jost and Pete Davidson have purchased the Staten Island Ferry, which they plan to co-own with on the upcoming episode of the SmartLess podcast. The former commuter ferry, which shuttled New Yorkers from Staten Island to Manhattan for decades, will be decommissioned in 2022. Since their initial purchase, both Jost, Davidson, and Rob Castellano, their architect co-owner, have both expressed skepticism about the investment, while Jost defended the purchase on the May 4 episode of SmartLess. Jost explained that the ferry held sentimental value for him and that the two were "very stoned" at the time of purchase and that they are now "in the hole" financially.
