Biggie Once Shared What It Was Like the First Time He Met Diddy

When Biggie first met with Diddy, he was inseparable with him, after Sean Combs interned at Uptown Records before he took over from them and founded Bad Boy Records. The pair were introduced through music tapes Biggie made in a basement with his DJ, 50 Grand, who played them for Mr. Cee, the DJ for Big Daddy Kane. The tapes were played for The Source magazine, which then heard them on Diddy's behalf. Biggie recalls that the success of his records initially didn't register to him at the time, but instead he wanted platinum status.
