Ex-Highway Patrol Officer and DUI Suspect Face Murder Charges After ‘Horrific’ Crash Left 4 Dead

A former California Highway Patrol officer and a suspected drunk driver, Angelo Rodriguez, and Iris Salmeron, have been charged with murder in connection with a fatal crash that left four people dead. The charges were announced by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office on Monday, March 16. Both defendants face four counts of murder for their roles in the incident, which occurred on the 605 Freeway in 2025. Rodriguez allegedly was driving more than 130 mph when he struck a car carrying four people, causing a fiery explosion and killing driver Juliana Hamori, 23, Armand Del Campo, 24, Jordan Partridge, and Samantha Skocilic, who were left severely injured. If convicted as charged, both defendants face up to life in prison.
