Wedbush Securities managing director, Dan Ives, has predicted that there is an 80% chance of a merger between SpaceX and Tesla by early 2027. The potential merger would likely occur after SpaceX's initial public offering this summer. While Ives sees this as a logical progression for what he calls "the best physical AI play in the world," other prominent investors believe it will be more than a merger. Ives remains positive about Tesla, arguing that autonomous robotics could add an incremental $1 to $2 trillion to the company's market capitalization.
