St. John's sophomore guard Joson Sanon has been a standout player in the team, scoring 15 points and making three 3-pointers in a 78-68 Big East Tournament semifinal victory over No. 4 Seton Hall. The win marks St. John’s fifth consecutive conference tournament win. Sanon, who has scored in double figures in three of the last six games and is becoming a better defender, is high on his potential return next season. St.John's coach, Rick Pitino, believes Sanon's potential to be one of the better players in the Big East.
