YouTube is allowing YouTubers with at least 500 subscribers to participate in its affiliate shopping program, which allows them to earn money by sharing product recommendations in their videos. The program, similar to those of LTK and ShopMy, allows creators to tag products from a list of affiliate sellers for their videos and compare their commission rates. To qualify, creators must be part of the YouTube Partner Program and be located in one of the following countries. The company has seen success in expanding its affiliate program and adding other shopping capabilities like connecting their own storefront to their profile.
