LOT Polish Airlines has launched its first direct flight between Warsaw and San Francisco, a seasonal route from May to October. The route, using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, is designed to connect a second West Coast city to Warsaw. This move comes as Poland is experiencing a significant increase in tourism, with the number of overnight stays international tourists spending in the country rising by 7%. This makes Poland second-place in Europe behind Malta. The airline hopes this new service will support both tourism and Polish businesses. The first flight to San Francisco ran on May 6 and tickets for summer months start at approximately $600 USD round-trip in economy.
