NOFX guitarist Eric Melvin has denied allegations that he sued his bandmate, Fat Mike, in a statement ahead of the SXSW premiere of the band's new documentary, 40 Years of F—-' Up. The dispute was first made public in January when drummer Erik "Smelly" Sandin claimed that Melvin's lawyers had served Fat Mike with legal papers accusing him of "legal financial malfeasance". However, Melvin stated that the legal papers were actually a letter requesting financial records he had been seeking for years. He expressed his intention to "shut down the rumor mill" and expressed pride in his bandmates.
