Austrian glaciers disintegrating due to climate change, say scientists

The Austrian Alpine Club has reported that 94 out of 96 glaciers in the past year have shrunk, with the most affected being the Alpeiner Ferner glacier in Tyrol, which lost 114.3m and the Stubacher Sonnblickkees in Salzburg. The report also stated that the largest glacier in the country, the Pasterze, could break off in the coming years. The trend is likely to be attributed to climate change.
