The Pro-Human AI Declaration, released by prominent business, religious, government, and academic leaders, has been endorsed by over 40 organizations. The declaration asserts the importance of human values as AI becomes increasingly powerful and more humanlike. Signatories include former Trump administration adviser Steve Bannon, Glenn Beck, Richard Branson, Ralph Nader, Susan Rice, and Daron Acemoglu. The Declaration was drafted by organizations from across the political spectrum, including the Congress of Christian Leaders, the American Federation of Teachers and the Progressive Democrats of America. The Future of Life Institute, a nonprofit advocacy group, facilitated the drafting process and supported the declaration. It covers five main topics including "Keeping Humans in Charge" and "Responsibility and Accountability for AI companies."
