Students from more than 30 schools gathered at the Hawaii State Capitol to demand a ban on disposable e-cigarettes in the state. The rally was supported by state leaders, including Gov. Josh Green, Attorney General Anne Lopez, Sens. Joy San Buenaventura and Tim Richards, and Rep. Jeanne Kapela. They highlighted the high levels of nicotine and environmental concerns about discarded devices, many containing lithium-ion batteries, heavy metals and toxic nicotine.
