Fort Wayne's SEED shares contributions to local small business growth

The Summit City Entrepreneur and Enterprise District in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has contributed to small businesses investing over $65 million in the city in the last five years and creating over 300 jobs. The district, which covers a seven-square-mile radius, offers training, networking, and below market-rate office and light industrial spaces for small business owners to stay in the community. It also offers a tax incentive on increased property values for up to 10 years, a 100% property tax deduction on the increase in assessed value created by a qualified investment. Representatives from the district discussed their services with Fort Wayne City Council.
