The Colorado Avalanche completed their franchise-best regular season with a 2-0 victory against the Seattle Kraken. This comes as the Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers also both won their final games. The Avs will face L.A. Kings in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, marking the fifth consecutive year that they have faced them. Game 1 will take place Sunday afternoon at Ball Arena. The Avalanche allowed the fewest goals in the league, with Scott Wedgewood becoming the first goalie in franchise history to lead the NHL in both goals-against average (2.02) and save percentage. Despite a mixed season, the Avs managed to secure a division title, top seed in the Western Conference and home-ice advantage throughout the postseason.
