Despite recent rainfall and snowfall, Cape Cod is experiencing "significant drought," the third-highest level of water shortage in the state, according to Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Rebecca Tepper. This is the only one of eight regions in Massachusetts currently experiencing such a severe drought. Officials are urging residents and businesses to reduce their H2O usage, particularly during the growing season.
