Police officers from the White Settlement Police Department used jumper cables to rescue a family from floodwaters. The vehicle was trapped in a canal and three of the children were able to escape safely. The fire department also helped to renege the vehicle back onto the road. Since the incident, all city patrol vehicles have been ordered equipped with a water rescue throw bag.
