Drone strike hits US consulate parking lot in Dubai

A drone strike has caused a fire in the parking lot of a building near the US consulate in Dubai, causing no injuries. The incident occurred during a "drone targeting operation" which targeted the consulate. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that all personnel are accounted for and that the U.S. had begun withdrawing personnel from diplomatic facilities in advance of the attack. This comes as officials urge Americans to leave the Middle East amid the ongoing conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran. The US Embassy in Riyadh was closed after two drones from Tehran struck the building, resulting in "limited fire and minor material damage".
