Bill Pullman To Make Royal Shakespeare Company Debut In ‘The Cherry Orchard’

Spaceballs star Bill Pullman will make his Royal Shakespeare Company debut in a new adaptation of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, alongside Kenneth Branagh and Helen Hunt in the production. The playwright Laura Wade, who is also an EP and writer on Disney+ hit series Rivals, is also a playwright. Pullman, who will play Gaev, the brother of Hunt's Madame Ranyevskaya, will portray an impoverished aristocrat who returns to the estate where endangered cherry trees are located. The production will be directed by Tamara Harvey and will run at the RSC's Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon from July 10-August 29. The actor expressed his excitement about the role and his obsession with fruit.
