Ex-Islander Mikhail Grabovski charged in alleged youth hockey coach attack

Former Islanders forward Mikhail Grabovski is facing legal issues in Toronto following an alleged assault following an Ontario Minor Hockey Association playoff game. The alleged altercation occurred on March 14 at the Markham Village Community Centre in Markham, Ontario. An unidentified male male was charged with one count of assault and released on a condition that he was prohibited from contacting opposing team coach Warren Cooper. The incident occurred at the time of the incident, which is unclear what started the altercation. The Ontario Minor Human Hockey Association denounced the incident and stated it does not condone such behaviour and reflects its values.
