The Lake County Board of Elections conducted a pre-election exercise, testing 60 machines from different precincts for accuracy before early voting begins on April 7. The testing also included checking if any retractions and overvotes had taken place. Each test requires two individuals, one Democrat and one Republican, to take turns. The final results must show one vote each for Republican and one for Democratic candidates.
