Slate Auto, a young American EV startup, has released a video update showing its development prototypes undergoing extreme winter testing in Northern Michigan. The company is aiming to deliver its flagship “Bare Slate” electric pickup to customers by the end of 2026. The team's success is partly due to the simplified and tough design of the vehicle. The winter testing video includes trips through a slush pit, negative degree cold chambers, and a snowball fight among engineers. The first Slate Trucks are set to be delivered at the end this year and the pricing announcement will be announced in late June.
