Patrick Labyorteaux, known for his role as Andy Garvey on Little House on the Prairie and other roles in the '70s, has expressed his pride in being a "Teen Idol" and calls it a "blast" and a time in time he still appreciates. He also addressed the criticism of teen idol status, stating that his experience was not like those associated with global pop sensations. He insisted that while there was fan mail and occasional recognition, it wasn't like a dangerous fandom. After becoming a teen idol, he went on to play Bud Roberts on JAG and three episodes of NCIS.
