Rose buoyed by Masters support despite another near miss

English golfer Justin Rose, who has previously finished second or third in the Masters at Augusta National, has expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the crowd at the club despite falling short in his bid to win a first Masters title. Despite briefly leading during the final round, Rose slipped back and finished two shots behind winner Rory McIlroy in a four-way tie for third place. Despite his near misses, Rose remains confident about his ability to compete in major events and eventually challenge for a Green Jacket. He also noted that the unique demands of the Masters could continue to suit him as he gets older, citing veterans who have remained competitive at the event.
