Dodgers' Freddie Freeman, the team's first MLB manager, Bobby Cox, has been remembered fondly by Freeman, who was a call-up in Cox's final season as a manager and was introduced as the team’s No. 6 hitter in 2010. Freeman shared his memories of Cox with the team, describing him as a "manager who relentlessly had our backs" and a "great manager" who could connect with players as a person. The late Cox was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004 and died at 84. The Dodgers are currently in a three-game series against the Braves.
