In "Margaritaville: The Cookbook," concept chef Carlo Sernaglia, has revealed that Jimmy Buffett's famous "cheeseburger in paradise" inspired by his song, "Paradise," is a simple way to recreate Buffett's go-to burger sauce for home use. The recipe includes a recipe for "Cheeseburgers in Paradise with Paradise Island Dressing," which is the secret ingredient for burgers. To make the sauce, simply add ½ cup mayonnaise, ½ cup ketchup, 2 tbsp pickle relish, and 2 tbsp fresh lime juice to the mix. The result is an ultra-enhanced burger that is greater than the sum of its parts and won't weigh you down after an afternoon nap in the sun. Additionally, the Paradise Island dressing can be used for BLTs, salads, and handheld morsels like pan-fried coconut shrimp, conch fritters, hush puppies, and fries.
