Solano County K-9 recovering after being stabbed on the job

Solano County Sheriff's Office K-9, Ty, was stabbed multiple times during a traffic stop in Fairfield, California. The suspect, identified as a man driving dangerously, led deputies on a chase and began stabbing K-3 Ty repeatedly in the neck and leg. Surgeon Max Latifi with UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine saved the dog's life, having to sedate him to perform an isolated examination. While the suspect is currently in custody, Ty is recovering at home and in good spirits. The Solano County sheriff's Office thanked the California Highway Patrol and the Vacaville and Fairfield Police Departments for their assistance.
