Beloved Chesapeake man killed in vehicle driven by suspected drunk driver

Daniel Lamar Savage, a beloved Chesapeake man, was killed in a car crash on March 14 in Portsmouth, Virginia. The driver of the vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, had a blood alcohol level of.20, according to court documents. Tow truck operator Gregory Elliott was called upon to help first responders remove the driver and passenger from the wreckage. Elliott expressed pride that he was able to help but regrets not being able to do more. The funeral services for Savage are scheduled for April 3 in Portsmouth.
