Stacie Hickman, a 33-year-old woman, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse in connection with the death of 59-year old David Southerland. The incident occurred in the Viola area on May 31, 2023. Hickman was sentenced to 31 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections. The case was resolved without a jury trial.
