Olivia Dean & Oasis Help U.K. Recorded Music Revenue Cross £1.5 Billion for First Time: BPI

The British Phonographic Institution (BPI) has reported that in 2025, total revenue in the UK's recorded music market surpassed £1.5 billion ($2.01 billion) for the first time, a 5% increase from the previous year. The BPI highlights rising stars such as Olivia Dean and Lola Young, along with Sienna Spiro, EsDeeKid, Skye Newman, and Oasis as key figures in the industry's success. The streaming market accounted for £1,07 billion ($1.44 billion) of this revenue, with revenue up 4.6%. Meanwhile, physical music revenue hit £278 million ($335 million), marking the third consecutive year of growth. The vinyl market rose 19.9% year-on-year with a total of £174.4 million, its highest level in over three decades.
