San Diego State's Jayden Denegal, a senior quarterback for the San Diego State football team, is healthy again after undergoing shoulder surgery in mid-December. Denegal had to play with a shoulder brace after injuring his left (non-throwing) shoulder during the season opener against Stony Brook. He started all 12 regular-season games before having surgery to repair his left shoulder. His return marks rare quarterback continuity for the Aztecs, with 13 different starting quarterbacks in the past 15 seasons. Deneg, who transferred from Michigan, will be pushed by Kentucky transfer Stone Saunders, who attended Bishop Bishop's High School and has a better connection with SDSU offensive coordinator Matt Johnson.
