HBO's drama series, The Last Of Us, is set to begin production with a third season based on The Last of Us Part II video game. The series will see a few roles shift within the story as it follows the game, with Kaitlyn Dever leading the story from the game's perspective. There will be no new characters in the series, with Jason Ritter and Patrick Wilson joining in as recurring roles. The showrunners will continue to serve as co-creator and executive producer. Neil Druckmann, who co-created the series with Craig Mazin and directed the Naughty Dog games, has taken a step back from the series and will be directing no episodes for Season 3.
